About
How can technology be used in education to best teach the critical thinking skills we need going into the 21st Century? This blog aims to explore these and related issues.
I teach English & ICT at Roedean School in Johannesburg at this exciting time in the history of our country, and in education generally. With education slowly undergoing a paradigm shift from an industrial age philosophy to one which squares with the information age, it is an exciting time to be a teacher, to be a digiteacher.
I need to stress that I do not get paid for the software or services that I review or discuss. My interest is entirely in the educational possibilities I see.

HI Dorian,
Not sure if you remember me but I asked you a few years ago to present at a SLYSIG Library conference in Durban and you were unable to. Since then I follow your blog and have learned a great deal form your sharing. I was fortunate to visit your school and see its Library during the ISASA SChool Library Conference, earlier this year.
We are really trying to get in early this time and I am asking if you would consider presenting at our conference in June 2016. It is the 28/29 June in Bloemfontein at the Free State University.
Please say you’ll be keen to present – sharing something of digital significance for school libraries and librarians.
We are hosting Nicola Morgan https://www.nicolamorgan.com/ from the UK and possible John Iona SLa School Librarian of the Year 2013 (sla -uk)
Our theme is “Librarians of the Future: Connecting, Creating, Transforming” .
My email is reid@wghs.co.za
I look forward to your response.
Many thanks
